2015

  • To contribute towards the cause of kargil relief fund, DP school students collected a humble sum of Rs. 75000 and donated it for the benefit of those affected.

  • Relief fund of Rs. 140000 was granted to diamond sorters and 1 month's grocery kits were provided to 200 families.

  • DP school is proud to have won the 'Best School Awards' for the 2014-15. it was also best awards with a cash prize of Rs. 1 lac by the government of Gujarat.

2014

  • Since 2003, Gujarat Education Board has initiated Karmyogi Talim Programme, in which our school teachers Shri Chirag Shah, Inaben, Shri Manish Rathod & Shri Rajendrasinh Shinol have played the role of (KRP) Key Resource Personnel and (RP) Resource Personnel and have made some great contribution.
  • After school hours, DP school provides school campus to Swaminaranyan, Bhramkumari, Pandurang Authwale and Gayatri Parivar. It also organises cultural programmes to benefit nearly 1000 people residing around the school

  • Our star school teachers, Shri Chirag Shah (Math & Science), Shri Rajendrasinh Shinol (Gujarati & Social Science) have given insightful presentations on their respective subjects related to 10th std. Board Exams on TV9, GTPL and Radio (FM).

  • Our respected principal wrote an inspirational poem “Kadam Kadam Badhe chalo” on the school, which is now a part of the school assembly prayers and songs. It is noteworthy that ours is one of the rare few schools where a principal has written a poem on the grandeur of the school.

  • School students paid a visit to Ghardaghar Old Age Home, where students won the hearts of aged people by organising a grand event for Dada Dadi (grandparents Day). They organised a fun filled old and new song competition, which everyone loved to the core. It was a noble gesture by the school to sensitise our students towards their grandparents.

  • With 7 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 8 bronze medals our school secured 1st position at the ‘International Level Avanatika Drawing Competition’ in Delhi.

  • Year 2014 began with verve as our students Chavda Mitesh and Patel Dishant stood first at the ‘All India Dhimikakai Karate Tournament’ at District level.

2013

  • In the same year our school organised an annual event on the topic of ‘digital India’. Nearly 10000 people visited and appreciated the initiative. More than 800 students performed various cultural programmes with the theme India and made it a success.

  • DP School students were extremely thrilled to meet World Chess Champion, Viswanathan Anand, at Gandhinagar- Town Hall. Anand shared some useful tips with the kids which really motivated and inspired them.

  • To promote chess as a game in the school, DP School had organised a Chess Club in which students became members and participated in various competitions. This led one of our students, Puvar Parth achieve 3rd position at the state level chess competition.

  • Our student Shiv Sharma won gold medal and Narendra Rajput won bronze medal at the national level Karate Championship.

2012

  • Lions Club International organised ‘Peace Poster Drawing Competition’ in Ahmedabad Zone and our student Viraj Vanza Stood 1st at the international drawing competition.

  • In the same year our School stood 1st in Rashtriya Samuh Gaan organised by Bharat Vikas Parishadm, Ahmedabad.

  • While more than 12 students were selected in ‘International Karate Tournament’ of Bhopal Singh Memorial at Kathmandu, Nepal, Bhavsar Mansi made us proud by securing 1st position at the tournament.

2011

  • 2011 began with high spirits and students took educational trips to Science City, Divya Bhaskar, Vibrant Gujarat Summit, Gandhi Ashram and Kutch Mundra port.

  • Panchal Charmi, student of DP School brought pride to the school by winning a gold medal at the Spot Drawing Kala Shikshak.

  • As the school felt the need, special workshop was organised for parents on “How to improve English Language”. It was a 10 days’ workshop which was highly appreciated by the parents.

  • Yet again DP School students showcased outstanding performance at the Gujarat State Bharat Scout and Guide programme. Nirmith Sheth, who secured 1st position, and four others were felicitated by the honourable Governor.

  • In the same year many famous personalities like ace photographer Shri Javerilal Mehta, media anchor Shri Samirbhai Shukla, acclaimed writer Ratilalbori Sagar, career counsellor Shri Bhanubhai Mehta and known Gujarati author Shri Joravarsinh visited DP School and with their presence and guidance inspired our students.

  • 2010 was a special year for us as it was the year when our own city Ahmedabad completed 600 years. On this rare occasion our school organised a spectacular event at Radhe Shyam party plot. It was graced by chief guest Mr. Ruzan Khambatta (CEO Rasna) and Aishwariya Mujmudar (Voice of India Champ). Five hundred students and 10000 parents came together and witnessed a memorable sight, where gas balloon with Happy Birthday Ahmedabad written on it was flown in the sky.

2010

  • Like other years our students made us proud in the year 2010 too. In the ‘All India Yoga Competition’ held at Palval, Haryana nearly 700 students from 23 states participated and our students’ fine performances won the hearts of one and all. While Krunal Prajapati won the gold medal, Mansi Makwana and Darhita Patel won silver medals, thereby securing a position at national level.

  • Another feather in the cap was added by our student Modi Niraj who secured 4th position at the ‘International Drawing Competition’ organised by Lions club at SGVP. What is noteworthy is nearly 1150 students from different schools participated in this competition.

  • Once again our students exhibited their musical talent at the ‘National patriotic Group’ song competition organised by Sardar Vallabbhai Patel memorial society and achieved 2nd position amongst 40 participating schools.

  • In the same year the very 1st National Malkham competition was organised by Sports Authority of India. After showcasing magnificent performance three of our school students, Jaimin Panchal, Krunal Prajapati and Akshat Chauhan were selected at National level in the Andhra Pradesh Competition.

  • In the 42nd Youth Festival’s Ghazal and Shayri competition, our school teacher Rashmi Bhardwaj stood first and was selected for the youth festival at national level.

  • In All India Ramanuj Math Club’s Giant Mahostav written examination our school secured 1st position. Our school won 6th position in the entire competition which is truly commendable.

  • In the same year 50 students from DP school visited ‘Gujarat Vidhan Sabha’ to know more about its working. Under the leadership of our respected principal students visited Gandhi Ashram, Heritage walk, Andhjan Mandal, Jivan Sandhya old age home, Science city and practically experienced what they had learned in their classrooms

  • Since 2009, every year a drawing competition is organised by the state of Gujarat. Till today more than 200 students from our school have participated and secured 1st or 2nd position in the competition showcasing commendable performances.

  • A ‘Career Carnival’ was organised to spread career awareness among children. While less emphasis was given to math and science subjects, it included various language subjects. More than 2000 students had prepared 800 projects on various career opportunities and nearly 30,000 people visited and benefited from the carnival. This carnival received large media coverage and it proved to be a mile stone in the history of DP School.

2009

  • In the ‘Gujarat state child youth art exhibition’ (Drawing competition) organised by Cultural Art Foundation, Palanpur, our student Manan Goswami won a gold medal, and Tanmay Patel & Charmi Panchal received silver medals.

  • More so nearly 50 students have participated in state and national level debate competition which is a great accomplishment in itself.

  • 2007-2008 - DP school was bestowed with the ‘Best School’ award and was presented to our principal by the then honourable education minister.

  • In 2008 our student Bhavik H Rami (U.19) secured 1st position in Ahmedabad District Judo Athletic Competition & was selected at national level.

  • In the same month nearly 300 students greeted the spring season by singing songs about spring and celebrating Holi festival. This was thoroughly loved by nearly 5000 people.

2008

  • In the month of March, Mega Math Carnival was organised in which nearly 1600 students took part. Students prepared and exhibited various model charts, computer projects & games, experiments learning math, old antique vessels and experiments for removal of blind faith. It continued for three days and nearly 40,000 people visited and enjoyed the mega event. More so, it was covered in all the leading newspapers.

  • In 2007 DP School announced its results right from Nursery till 12th standard on the website there by creating history in the field of technology. And since then we have continued to declare the results on our website.

  • In the same year ‘10th Vodakai Federation 2007’ was organised. It is a national karate competition in which six states participated. Our students showed outstanding performance and won many prizes. While our student Kavar Devang and Nirmit Sheth stood second, Rahul Panchal stood third and received medals and certificates.

  • The school participated at ‘State Level Yogasan Competition’ organised in Junagadh and our student Panchal Priyank secured 7th position in it. What is notable is that he was the only student of Ahmedabad city who got selected to participate in the Bhavnagar national level yoga asan competition.

2007

  • Our students showed their sincere concern for the flood victims of Surat by collecting and distributing 500 relief kits, which included 3000 packets of biscuits, clothes as well as grain, to the affected.

  • To instill a little more enthusiasm towards achieving one’s goals, the school showed its students movies like Gandhi my father, Avatar, Mangal Pandey and ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ at the City Gold theater at a very nominal rate. This simple gesture was appreciated by parents, students, leading newspapers as well as T.V channels.
  • Since 2006 Interschool Cricket Tournament has been organised at the Naranpura Nava Vadaj area.

  • In the 39th youth festival of 2006 our school student Chanika Patel stood first in 3 competitions, 2nd in two competitions and 3rd in two competitions and first in essay writing competition thereby getting an entry at national level.

  • In the same year our student Akash Tiwari stood first in ‘Shot Put Competition’ at district level and stood sixth at national level.

  • Since 2006 our school has been participating at the ‘National Group Song Competition’ organised by ‘Bharat Vikas Parishad’ and has been displaying exemplary performance. At the Ghatlodiya school competition, our students stood first and successfully represented the school both at District and National level.

  • Our school participated at the ‘All India Yoga Championship Competition’ held at Palval, Faridabad, and Haryana. While more than 1500 hundred students took part in the competition, our students had put up some commendable performances and won appreciation of one and all. And the winners.

2006

  • The school exhibited outstanding performance at various inter-school state and national competitions. Our students participated in the National Karate Tournament organised at Swaminaranyan Dham, Gandhinagar. The school won 6 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 4 bronze medals. The winners were acknowledged in the leading newspapers.

  • Since 2005 every year nearly 50 students participate in the Kankaria Carnival’s cultural festival & perform yoga, rope malkham which is mentioned in leading newspapers.

  • In 2005 annual function was organised in Radhe Shyam party plot and more than 400 students presented a cultural dance programme before nearly 4000 people. This was appreciated by folk singer Shri Prafful Dave and many more.

  • In the same year, in aid of the victims of tsunami, our school students contributed 60 tonne rice, 2 trucks filled with clothes as well as Rs. 10,000 cash. It was a judicious effort of our students taken up under the guidance of our principal which had set a shining example for the educational institution.

  • On 15 August 2005 more than 3000 school students including 100 Muslim students participated in the ‘Rashtriya Ekta Rally’. With an elephant, 5 horses, 10 horse carriages, 500 posters and thousands of students promoting national integrity, it was a mega event to be experienced that promoted oneness and national spirit.

  • Also more than 900 students of the school organised ‘Mega Computer Carnival’ which had different project, games as well as cultural programme.

2005

  • Year 2005 brought many accolades to the school and its talented students. On one hand our student Anil Patel represented Gujarat state in ‘International Hand Ball Competition’ at Taiwan, Hong Kong. On the other hand Jaymin Thakkar secured the first position in the ‘Yuvak Mahotsav’ in Ahmedabad city and second position at the National Level of Jamnagar National School.

  • B.D Arts college, under the management of
    Gujarat law society, holds ‘Doctor S.R.Bhatt
    Debate Competition’ every year. Our school
    entered this competition in the year 2004 and
    till date has been emerging as a winner.

  • Since 2003, every year ‘Avantika Drawing’ - Youth & Child Art Exhibition is organised in Hyderabad. More than 150 students from our school have participated in the exhibition and have received medals and certificates for their exceptional performance and continue to do so.

2004

  • DP School achieved 100% result in S.S.C board and our school student Jay Patel stood 5th in Ahmedabad city with 93.86 percentile.

  • In the same year nearly 600 students participated in the ‘Mega Children Fiesta’ organised in the school campus and 25,000 people from nearby area visited this carnival.

  • Since 2003 the school has initiated adventure programmes and every year successful tracking camps are being organised at various places across India like Manali (Himachal Pradesh) Mount Abu (Rajasthan) Kashmir (Jammu & Kashmir) Darjeeling (West Bengal) Idar (Gujarat) Junagadh Sasangir (Gujarat) and Panchmadhi (Madhya Pradesh).

2003

  • On 26 January 2003, to celebrate the Republic Day, more than 100 students of DP School presented patriotic song at Shahibaug police stadium in the presence of Smt Anandiben Patel. Our students secured first position among the prestigious schools of Ahmedabad and were presented a trophy by the then honorable education minister.

  • In the same year almost all students of our school presented ‘Abhinay Geet at Shahibaug police stadium on 26th January and since then for 3 consecutive years we had achieved 1st position and were felicitated by the then honourable education minister Smt Anandiben.

2002

  • A renowned school of our city, Rajasthan Hindi High School, had organised ‘Late Jethalal Debate Competition’. From 2002 to 2005 our school won the prestigious trophy at the high school and higher secondary level.

  • From 2001 Brahmakumari organisation started its moral value based programme ‘Touch the light’. It was conceptualised under the guidance of Shri Chandrika Didi who started the pilot project and as a result of the pilot project it reached the National level. Along with DP School more than 4500 schools across India have introduced this innovative concept in its curriculum.

  • Taking its encouragement from the parenting programme many social organizations, which were connected with DP School, started their own parenting programme.

  • Inspired by the parenting programme Mr. Sonagara has written a book ‘Parvarish’ to help parents raise their children with good values. It has become a best seller and more than 10000 copies of this book have been sold till date.

  • In the same year DP School started special parenting programme and through this programme our principal Shri Jaydevsinh Sonagara gave guidance to nearly 1000 parents.

  • The school started a quarterly journal ‘Abhinav’ which continued for 10 successful years.

2001

  • DP school became the first school to start the computer carnival introducing various topics. More than 1000 people joined this novel development programme for the students.

  • In the same year almost all students of our school presented ‘Abhinay Geet at Shahibaug police stadium on 26th January and since then for 3 consecutive years we had achieved 1st position and were felicitated by the then honourable education minister Smt Anandiben.

  • In the year 2000 our student Vishvajit Sonagara secured 100 marks in Social Science subject in Board Exams and created history by securing 91.40 percentile. Since last 15 years the school result is 99%in the board.

2000

  • DP school started English medium section in the year 2000 and today nearly 2000 students study in it.

1998

  • Two extremely talented students of the school, Vishvajit and Abhijit Sonagara, stood first at the National Level Competition and were felicitated by the Gujarat Education Board.

  • Since 1997 the school has been a champion in youth festival

  • 1997 was a crucial year. As from the same year students who had lost their fathers were provided free education. Till date this has amounted to Rs. 30 Lacs. This project was specially undertaken so that the children would not undergo any financial stress or depression.

  • During the same period school trustee Shri D.D.Chauhan was awarded twice by the president for his exemplar performance in police department.

1997

  • Our respected principal Shri Jaydevsinh Sonagara represented DP school at the Lion’s world conference of the USA.

1993

  • Due to some disturbances in Khadia it was relocated to Navavadaj in 1993. And within first five years of school relocation, it achieved hundred percent result.

1986

  • Continuing its humanitarian efforts, in 1986 with the help of Lion’s club, D.P School provided free spectacles to nearly 1800 old age people.

1975

  • DP school started its philanthropic tradition and donated 1 crore rupees, a substantial amount of money in those times, to Cancer Research Society. Even today Dwarkadas Parmanand Thakore research Centre based in Vasna runs successfully.

1966

  • Kumari Chandramatiben Dwarkadas was the first female in India who established D.P High School in Khadia, Gujarat. The school will complete 50 golden years of imparting high quality education in 2016.
